Purpose of the development: Protection of greenhouse cultures against pests.

Advantages over analogues: Application of the biological biological preparation paecilomycine-B in vegetable cultivation on sheltered soils will make it possible to reduce the preparation application rate per a hestare, avoid treatment by pesticides, save (as compared to basic schedules of use (boverine-BL)) 10%yied on the average, and gain additional 4-6 thousand from each hectare. The environmental safety of protective measures provided by the novel technologies is 75% higher.

Paecilomycine-B is recommended for protection of cucumbers and tomatoes againts greenhouse whitefly with the application rate of 9-15kg/hectare at the working liquid consuption rate from 500 to 2.000l/hectare. The plants are sprayed with one-percent working liquid againts pest maggots. Subsequent treatment is performed at a 7-days interval. To protect greenhouse cultures againts cucumber midge, the preparation application rate is 40 kg/hectare, and the preparation as 4% suspension is poured at roots 50 ml per/plant at an interval of 23-27 days during the mass flight period of each imago generation. Unlike pesticides (Aktellik, CE, Almethrin, CZ, Arrivo, 25% c.e., Confidor 2000), paecilomycine-B does not have a regilated "idle term". There is a choice of methods for using it on vegetable crops. The biological efficiency against cucumber midge was 66,6-71,5%, against greenhouse whitefly - 68,0-79,0%. Technical specifications (RB TU 300042160.005-2004) and industrial production method (RUE "Novopolotski Zavod of Protein-Vitamin Concentrates") for the preparation have been developed. Paecilomycine-B possessesnild toxicological-hygienic (hazard class IV - low-hazard compound) and ecological properties.
