The unit provides : - Sounding around the perimeter of both ends of the pipe wall thickness throughout , detection of defects such as delaminations width 60 mm from the end and longitudinally oriented defects such as cracks in the width of 30 mm from the end ; - Automatic quality control of the acoustic contact for flaw detection channels. The apparatus automatically performs the following operations : - Recording and storing information about the process and results of the controls ; - Issuance of light and sound signal of the defect ; - Giving light and alarm Inappropriate deterioration of acoustic contact ; - Diagnostics of equipment and output messages to the device man-machine interface ; - Preparation and transfer of the necessary information about the results of the control and operation of the unit to the shop database; - The application of markers of different colors on the surface of the pipe , specifying the location of defects and areas with poor acoustic contact .
