Advantages over analogues: DATS have substantial advantages in comparison with the preparationsof similar action, they afford casier dosing of the reagents and conducting fluorination ar a room or low temperature.

The introduction of fluoprine atoms to the molecules of physiologically active compounds affords the preparation of medical drugs which are much more active their non-fluorinated analogs. The most common route for the preparation of fluorine containing medical drugs is based on the application of fluorinating reagents for the exchangeof functional groups in the molecules of nucleosides, nucleotides, antibiotics, steroids, prostaglandins, etc. by fluorine atom. Useful fluorinating reagents - dialkylaminotrifluorosulfuranes (DATS) were developed in the Institute of Organic Chemistry NAS of Ukraine for these pupropses. A siple and versatile method for preparation of DATS and other types of organyltrifluorosulfuranes was developed recently in the Institute of Organic Chemistry NAS of Ukraine, this method differs from the known earlier methods by avoiding the usage of toxic and aggressive compounds, suchas elemental fluorine or sulfur tetrafluoride. These advantages give the possibility for practical application of DATS in Ukraine. The Institute of Organic Chemistry NAS of Ukraine can produce DATS in the kilogram quantities for the practical usage in the pharmaceutical industry.Our Institute is ready to perticipate in cooperative programs with the organisations interested in scientific investigations for the development of the methods for fluorine atoms introduction into the molecules of perspective physiologically active compounds.
