Abstract. The monograph presents the results of scientometric and patent research of current global technological trends in the military sphere. The most promising areas for further development of scientific and technical research in the production of military equipment and the use of radar and electronic warfare technologies, technical reconnaissance and navigation, which are directly related to the needs of the army, were identified.
The research was carried out using the international platforms "Web of Science" and "Derwent Innovation".
The work analyzes the critical technology "Equipment and technologies of electronic warfare and reconnaissance, positioning and navigation", which covers a number of areas:
- technologies for the manufacture of radio equipment, radar devices, devices for electronic warfare and technical reconnaissance;
- technologies and software modules for navigation and positioning systems;
- technologies for creating semiconductor devices and devices using microprocessors and microelectronic circuits;
- technologies for creating modern laser gyroscopic platforms;
- technologies for cryptographic protection of information.
The keywords for information search were determined in accordance with the Unified Classifier of Supply Items, which is designed for use in the field of defense and security of the state to maximize the efficiency of the supply and logistics system and its compatibility with NATO logistics systems.
The obtained results of scientometric and patent analysis can be effectively used for scientific and technical forecasting and planning of research activities in Ukraine, determining the topics of research and development institutions and their financing.
The continuation of the research presented in the monograph will further strengthen the information and analytical support for the management of R&D topics for constant correction and updating of the development and implementation of new radio engineering technologies in the military sphere.
