Abstract. In order to establish and sustainable development of Ukraine as a modern maritime state, there is a need to reboot and restructure the entire system of Ukrainian marine scientific research. Taking into account the modern scientific and technical potential of Ukraine and geopolitical conditions, new tasks and goals have arisen before Ukraine, which, in turn, requires new measures and approaches to marine scientific activity, which is one of the important factors in the implementation of Ukraine's national interests in the field of marine activities. The monograph outlines the theoretical and practical foundations of predictive and analytical marine research, analyzes the regulatory framework for marine scientific research in the EU and Ukraine, and also presents the results of a study of global technological and scientific trends in the field of marine research in the areas of fisheries and aquaculture, activities for the use of water environments, water management and infrastructure (digital and for research and testing).
